Lebanon Tourism Office

Art projects for communication

After the Lebanese War (2007) the Lebanse Tourism Office in France could not market the destination through the traditional means.
A strategy was conceived in order to communicate through art projects.
The Lebanese values of plurality, modernity & tradition and tolerance —which make up the best aspects of its people— would be conveyed through exhibitions in different parts of France as well as other countries.

Conception and production of two artistic projects in the field of contemporary photography and video-installation.

A collaborative project with Lebanese haute-couture designer Georges Chakra.
The project LEBANESE BRIDE was inspired by the white wedding dress which, in Lebanon, as in many Middle-Eastern countries is worn by women of different religions.
The project was conceived as an installation.
Shot in 8 mm Ektachrome film in Beirut Chakra's ateliers.

Video-Installation. Film 8mm, digital projection.
